Taking graphic design to the next level with projections, this Transmedia installation was created with a projector, Processing, Open TSPS, Illustrator and a Kinect Sensor that activated the installation, shifting the particles from one form to another and telling you a story as you walked towards the Sensor.
Nihilum is a story I created around the concept of Nihilism: literally meaning the absence of anything. The installation story starts with an atom, which turns into serotonin (the happiness chemical), and then leads to a quote that makes us think about how science is constantly looking for eternal happiness (by Nietzsche). This science quote is transformed into the radioactive icon, which then turns into Plutonium as it transgorms into Fat Man atomic bomb. Finally, the bomb goes off as it closes off with the definition of Nihilism.
